A series of local flyouts around Bath were planned from Friday 26th to Monday 29th and following a successful 2022 launch in our Joycam Lips special shape, this year we decided to go even bigger...
We are delighted to announce the latest addition to our special shape fleet, Snow White! Built by Cameron Balloons in 1993, she stands an incredible 47 metres tall and has recently been shipped over from Germany. Did anyone guess correctly!?
BBC One's famous globe hot air balloon is set to return to the UK ballooning circuit after 20 years in storage.
The winter is almost over and the ballooning season is starting up for another year. On Sunday morning we took two of our special shape balloons to Newton St Loe for their annual airworthiness inspections.
Former creative director at Virgin Airship & Balloon Company, Mark Lockwood, tells us about the fleet of Virgin aeroplane special shapes operated in the 1980s and 90s. Many iconic tethers and flights were arranged to promote Virgin Atlantic; inflating near the famous Hollywood sign, night glowing beside the Queen Mary, and flying from Wadi Rum desert in Jordan to name a few. They were even regulars at home in Bristol!

August is here again and that can only mean one thing in Bristol: BALLOONS!! After a long 3 years away, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta returns to Ashton Court from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th August 2022 for 4 days of mass balloon launches, night glows and family fun.
