The Maxwell House coffee jar will make its return to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta this August after last attending in 1995! G-BVBK was our fourth balloon to join our special shape collection back in 2022 and we're excited to be bringing it along to Ashton Court.

The coffee jar will be flying during all 6 mass ascents weather permitting, piloted by Alex Harvey. Alex usually flies the big red passenger balloons and it’s a pleasure to welcome him to team MJ Ballooning for this year’s fiesta!
Two identical versions of these balloons, G-BVBK and G-BVBJ, were built way back in 1993. They featured in Maxwell House’s TV commercial in Brazil and were operated by Flying Pictures.

It’s the first of a number of MJ Ballooning special shapes at the 2024 event with further announcements planned over the coming weeks.
To announce the first special shape attending this year's event, we flew it from Snake Meadows in Saltford on 20th June! Landing at Pennyquick Park, Bath Hot Air Balloon Club chief pilot Jerry Davis and Bristol Balloon Collectors co-founder Liam Whitelock enjoyed a 20 beautiful minute flight. Team work at its very best!
