G-DIPI Special Shape
Owner: Matt Joyce
Some of you will remember this classic special shape from the 1980s; Choc Dips! Now rebranded as Ohoo Dips. G-DIPI was built in 1988 by Cameron Balloons and operated by Virgin Airship & Balloon Company alongside Thunder & Colt 17A hopper. In 1996 it was sold to Belgium, then came back to the UK three years later, and a few changes of ownership later, here we are with both balloons back in Bristol.
More recently, G-DIPI was brought back to the 2012 Bristol Balloon Fiesta where it flew from three mass launches in a row alongside other special shapes including Babybel and Action Man. Notice details of add-on biscuit sticks and 'lift here' tab!
