2013 Bristol & Bath Flights - July

July 2013 saw a lot of ballooning action in our region. The morning launch from maize field on the 6th saw Lighter Than Air fly their brand new Paddy Power Pants special shape G-EGES. After this a month later they took it to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, where it only appeared once, flying from the shapes rodeo on the Thursday evening. In fact, it wasn't just that launch that was impressive; the whole 2 days of 6th and 7th July brought some amazing weather! One evening saw the launch of the BIBF shuttle bus services with model balloons appearing on BBC Points West news. Also G-ONIX made a very rare flight from maize field whilst ride balloons passed overhead on the 21st.
