We are delighted to announce the latest addition to our special shape fleet, Snow White! Built by Cameron Balloons in 1993, she stands an incredible 47 metres tall and has recently been shipped over from Germany. Did anyone guess correctly!?
The balloon is no longer airworthy but still in excellent condition for static displays during tether slots at events, given the winds are nice and light. We can't wait for you all to see her!
There are seven Velcro slots in total which must be sealed prior to inflation; one in each shoe, one in the bow, one in each shoulder and one in each arm. Once the balloon is deflated the tabs in the shoulders and arms should be opened to let the air out, the others are a bit unnecessary. As she is so tall there is no standard parachute. The red line instead operates two rip panels, each with a lock in the both top corners. You align a small loop with a metal lock, tie with thread and repeat another three times to keep the panels in!
Snow White is already booked to attend Telford Balloon Fiesta on the August bank holiday weekend and our main event of the year, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. This will be alongside some of our other special shapes.
We revealed the balloon at 5pm on Friday 19th May, shortly followed by an announcement from the @bristolballoon channels stating "Snow White might make an appearance in Bristol this August... how do you like them (poisoned) apples? 🍎 @mjballooning 🙌"
BBC Radio Bristol also posted "Snow White is back in #Bristol! The special shape was made by @cameronballoons 30 years ago. It's been around the world - and now @mjballooning hopes to bring it to the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta this year🍎"

The Amarelo Model Balloon Team even came along with a small handheld burner to hot inflate the head, which took some pressure off the fabric around the neck during the usual hot inflation and stand up. She will be out again soon.
